Choose a caterer and confirm what they supplyOutside caterers are allowed. Your caterer supplies dishes, tableware, linens, and accessories, then cleans the kitchen.
Coordinate vendors with your event scheduleRentals include up to 6 hours of event time and 1 hour of setup time before the event.
Sketch the table, chair, and dance-floor layoutRound and rectangular tables, chairs, and a hardwood dance floor are included.
Check decorations against the venue rulesOpen flames are not allowed. Do not attach decorations to walls, ceilings, or floors; glitter and confetti are also prohibited.
Handle the alcohol license if you plan to serve alcoholA Virginia ABC Banquet License is due at least 10 days before the event; provide a copy at least 48 hours before.
Plan security for an event after 8:00 PMSecurity is required if an event begins, continues, or ends after 8:00 PM. The venue fee is $65 per hour, or an approved Virginia DCJS-certified provider may be used.
Assign a lead for the final load-outThe venue must be vacated and left in good condition within 1 hour after the contracted event time; personal items must also be removed within that hour.
